A keptar is a sleeveless sheepskin vest, adorned with colorful threads. They were common in the Carpathian and Pre-Carpathian regions, with each area having its own style of keptar.

In a black-and-white photo, I saw this boy, and it immediately warmed my heart, making me feel so sunny inside. He is sitting childishly on a fence. It seems like his father or older brother took off their keptar and kresanya, dressed him in these clothes, which are clearly too big, and lovingly seated him in front of the photographer. Or maybe it's his own keptar, which this boy will grow up with, who knows?
