Namitka is the oldest Ukrainian headdress dating back to the 15th century. It was about 5 meters long and about 50 cm wide.  Depending on the region, it had many ways of tying it. Just imagine: your head is framed like a huge heavy crown, and you feel like a woman in an ordinary linen cloth!
